Getting it into your agent
It runs from inside its repository, so the clone comes first — what it calls does not travel with the file alone.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00151 | $0.02545 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00060 | $0.01018 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00030 | $0.00509 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00015 | $0.00254 |
Grade A, and why
pub-plotter scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 114 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Publication Plotter
One-click produce publication-grade figures from a data JSON: real journal physical widths + Type-42 font embedding + colorblind-safe palette by default, no hand-tuning rcParams; if the scienceplots package is installed it automatically uses the official style.
This skill is the paper domain's single plotting entry (line / bar / boxplot / heatmap).
Honest disclosure (two tracks): matplotlib installed ->
status:"success",rendered:true, the artifact is a real PDF/PNG (with embedded fonts); not installed -> it doesn't error but reportsstatus:"mock", no image produced, and you MUST tell the user no figure was generated; don't pass the JSON report as the deliverable.
Publication-Grade Key Points (Why Plots Are Made This Way)
- Font embedding:
pdf.fonttype=42/ps.fonttype=42(Type 42 subset embedding); arXiv / LaTeX won't reject it, and it stays sharp when scaled. - Plot to the layout:
--journal nature_single|science|ieee|acm|neuripsuses real physical widths (Nature single column 3.504"~89mm, Science 4.76", IEEE 3.5"); "design to final size" avoids text being too big/small after inserting back into the layout. - Width contract (a silent bug fixed):
--styleonly controls font size/line width/grid,--journalonly controls physical width; the two are separated and both explicitly reportwidth_inches. The old version stuffed the journal name into--stylefor lookup, andnature_single/scienceweren't in the table -> silently fell back to IEEE 3.5" width while still reporting success. Now an unknown--journalexits with code 2;--style sciencealso has its own 4.76" geometry, no longer borrowing ieee. How to verify: read the produced PDF's/MediaBox;--journal sciencemust be visibly wider than--journal ieee. - Colorblind-safe: Paul Tol / Okabe-Ito palettes on by default (
--no-colorblindto turn off) — a hard review criterion for paper color choices. - Vector output:
.pdfvector (recommended for submission),.png300 dpi as fallback.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

pub-plotter is a skill published in the GitHub repository Morningstar202604/awesome-skillkit (0 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 151 tokens to every session and 2,545 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-19.
