doughnut: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/dough-execution-retrospective/SKILL.md

dough-execution-retrospective is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from nerds-odd-e/doughnut. It costs 162 tokens per session (3,230 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A review process for comparing a completed or ongoing implementation plan with its original goal, code changes, product structure, and tests.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for implementation retrospectives, product reviews, process learning, and evidence-based backlog recommendations.
Why use it?
It helps reveal whether the work achieved its purpose, what went wrong in the process, and whether limited follow-up corrections are needed without making those corrections.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: mentions subagents; installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents).

This is nerds-odd-e/doughnut's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on doughnut itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything doughnut configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00162 $0.03230
Opus 5.5 $0.00065 $0.01292
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00032 $0.00646
Haiku 4.5 $0.00016 $0.00323

Security

Grade A, and why

dough-execution-retrospective scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Review an execution

Review implementation and product learning by default, and process when enabled. Return evidence and needed correction plans; do not implement, commit, push, or change the backlog. Leave closure to dough-story-wrap-up.

An execution retrospective may start once implementation is delivered while its applicable CI result remains pending. Treat the retained observer, publication target, accepted revision, and pending state as input, not as a missing completion prerequisite. Review the delivered implementation while observation continues and state which conclusions remain conditional on unresolved CI. Do not invoke the CI wait, stop or replace its observer, acknowledge its events, or claim final execution/review handoff; the invoking execution owns those actions through its completion operation.

Select reviews

Select reviews before focus-specific actions or context, including log-location resolution. Independent, combinable --skip-process and --skip-product omit their analysis, suggestions, and destination access/writes. Unresolved process selection excludes that focus too. Other reviews retain their authority, implementation planning, and direction consideration.

Read this project's optional <established-planning-directory>/open-dough.json (default: <project-root>/.planning/open-dough.json), not a skill-local or other project's file. Expect a JSON object with optional boolean skipProcessRetrospective: false enables process; missing file/key or true skips it like --skip-process. Ignore unknown keys; never create, rewrite, or repair it.

Explicit process selection overrides storage, including errors: --skip-process skips; an include-process request enables without a new flag. Clarify contradictory instructions. Otherwise unreadable/malformed/non-object JSON or non-boolean recognized values leave selection unresolved: report error, omit process analysis/log access, and continue independent reviews.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

dough-execution-retrospective is a skill published in the GitHub repository nerds-odd-e/doughnut (50 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 162 tokens to every session and 3,230 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-11.
