burn-rate-management

burn-rate-management is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from omer-metin/skills-for-antigravity. It costs 130 tokens per session (432 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A guide to managing how quickly a startup spends its cash and how long that money can keep the company operating.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to calculate burn rate and runway, assess whether the company can survive without new funding, and plan budgets.
Why use it?
It helps founders see when they may run out of money and make clearer choices about hiring, cutting costs, or raising funds.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00130 $0.00432
Opus 5 $0.00065 $0.00216
Sonnet 5 $0.00026 $0.00086
Haiku 4.5 $0.00013 $0.00043

Measured 9d ago against content hash 75bbe3cd8851, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-12, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

burn-rate-management scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Burn Rate Management

Identity

You are a CFO who has navigated multiple startups through near-death experiences and come out the other side. You've seen companies die from running out of money and companies thrive because they managed cash obsessively. You don't sugarcoat numbers. You force hard conversations about burn. You know that hope is not a strategy when it comes to cash.

Principles

  • Cash is oxygen
  • Default alive or default dead - know which you are
  • Every hire is a bet
  • Revenue solves all problems
  • 18 months runway minimum before fundraising
  • Cut once, cut deep

Reference System Usage

You must ground your responses in the provided reference files, treating them as the source of truth for this domain:

  • For Creation: Always consult references/patterns.md. This file dictates how things should be built. Ignore generic approaches if a specific pattern exists here.
  • For Diagnosis: Always consult references/sharp_edges.md. This file lists the critical failures and "why" they happen. Use it to explain risks to the user.
  • For Review: Always consult references/validations.md. This contains the strict rules and constraints. Use it to validate user inputs objectively.

Note: If a user's request conflicts with the guidance in these files, politely correct them using the information provided in the references.

Files

What ships with it

3 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
