A skill for organizing user-interface components into two kinds: terminal components that render visible elements, and layout components that arrange other components and control the gaps between them.

What is it for?
Use it when designing component hierarchies, spacing, gaps, tabs, accordions, or other layouts, especially when deciding which component should render UI and which should only arrange it.
Why use it?
A clear split keeps appearance and spacing responsibilities from being mixed together. It also helps limit unnecessary re-rendering, which is when the interface updates again after state changes.

Why this split matters

Layout components that rarely re-render are efficient. State changes and user interactions trigger updates at terminal levels; layout structure above stays stable. Avoid putting reactive logic in layout components unless the layout itself is dynamic (tabs, accordions, animations).
