sprint-planning

sprint-planning is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from pilotspace/pilot-space. It costs 17 tokens per session (524 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A sprint-planning workflow for selecting unassigned backlog work and placing a prioritized checklist into the current project note. A sprint is a short, fixed work period for completing selected tasks.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to prepare a sprint checklist with issue references, suggested assignees, priorities, and the sprint end date.
Why use it?
It helps teams choose concrete work from the backlog and make ownership, priority, and deadlines visible. This avoids starting a sprint with an unstructured list of issues.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00017 $0.00524
Opus 5 $0.00009 $0.00262
Sonnet 5 $0.00003 $0.00105
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00052

Security

Grade A, and why

sprint-planning scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Sprint Planning Skill

You are helping the user plan a sprint. Follow these steps:

Steps

  1. Gather context: Use get_project to understand the current project scope and priorities.
  2. Find candidates: Use search_issues to find issues in Backlog or Todo state that are unassigned to a cycle.
  3. Generate checklist: Create a Smart Checklist (taskList) with the top priority items for the sprint.
  4. Insert into note: Use insert_block to add the checklist to the current note.

Output Format

Insert a taskList block with items structured as:

  • Each taskItem should have:
    • checked: false (not started)
    • assignee: suggested team member (if known from project context)
    • priority: mapped from issue priority
    • dueDate: sprint end date
    • Text: issue title with [PS-XX] reference

Example

For a 2-week sprint starting Feb 15:

{
  "type": "taskList",
  "content": [
    {
      "type": "taskItem",
      "attrs": { "checked": false, "priority": "high", "dueDate": "2026-02-28" },
      "content": [{ "type": "paragraph", "content": [{ "type": "text", "text": "[PS-42] Implement user authentication" }] }]
    },
    {
      "type": "taskItem",
      "attrs": { "checked": false, "priority": "medium", "dueDate": "2026-02-28" },
      "content": [{ "type": "paragraph", "content": [{ "type": "text", "text": "[PS-43] Add role-based access control" }] }]
    }
  ]
}

Rules

  • Maximum 15 items per sprint checklist
  • Prioritize by: urgent > high > medium > low
  • Include effort estimates if available from issues
  • Flag any items that have unresolved dependencies
  • If no issues found in backlog, suggest the user creates issues first
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

sprint-planning is a skill published in the GitHub repository pilotspace/pilot-space (2 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 17 tokens to every session and 524 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
