creative-fatigue-detection

creative-fatigue-detection is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from swan-gtm/gtm-skills. It costs 35 tokens per session (1,893 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide to recognising creative fatigue in Meta advertising, which happens when people see the same ads too often and respond less. It lists performance signals and frequency ranges for different campaign types.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to monitor frequency, click-through rate, cost per thousand impressions, ad relevance, and cost per acquisition, then decide when creative needs attention.
Why use it?
It helps teams distinguish declining ad effectiveness from other campaign problems. This makes it easier to decide when to refresh or rotate advertising creative.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00035 $0.01893
Opus 5 $0.00017 $0.00946
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00379
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00189

Security

Grade A, and why

creative-fatigue-detection scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Creative Fatigue Detection & Rotation - B2B SaaS

How to detect when Meta ads are losing effectiveness, when to rotate creative, and how to maintain performance through systematic creative management.

What Creative Fatigue Looks Like

Creative fatigue happens when your audience has seen your ads too many times. The algorithm keeps serving them, but engagement drops and costs rise.

The signals (in order of urgency):

Signal Threshold Urgency
Frequency > 4.0 (cold) Immediate action needed URGENT
Frequency > 6.0 (retargeting) Immediate action needed URGENT
CTR drops 20%+ from baseline over 7 days Creative dying WARNING
CPM rising 30%+ over 2 weeks Algorithm struggling to deliver efficiently WARNING
Ad Relevance: "Below Average" in any metric Quality issue WARNING
CPA increasing with stable targeting Likely fatigue (after ruling out other causes) MONITOR

Frequency Thresholds by Campaign Type

Campaign Type Safe Warning Critical
Cold prospecting 1.0-2.5 2.5-3.5 > 4.0
Retargeting 2.0-4.0 4.0-5.5 > 6.0
ABM 2.0-5.0 5.0-7.0 > 8.0

Why ABM tolerates higher frequency: ABM audiences are small and the message reinforcement is intentional. But even ABM hits a wall - diminishing returns past 5-6 impressions per person per week.

B2B Creative Lifespan

B2B ads lose efficiency slower than B2C/e-commerce, but they still fatigue:

Creative Type Typical Lifespan Why
Static image 14-28 days Seen, registered, scroll past
Video (< 30s) 21-35 days More engaging, lasts longer
Carousel 21-35 days Multiple cards = more novelty
UGC / testimonial 28-42 days Feels authentic, fatigues slower

B2B vs B2C: B2B audiences are smaller, so frequency builds faster. But B2B users pay less attention to ads (scrolling past work content), so each impression has less impact. Net result: 14-21 day refresh cycle for most B2B campaigns.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
