bootstrap-project

bootstrap-project is a skill for Cursor from Tholem-AI/Tholem-Cursor-Kit. It costs 24 tokens per session (269 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A skill for setting up a project from requirements, design documents, and the files already in its repository.

In plain words
What is it for?
Initializing documentation, a roadmap, project constraints, and a file-structure reference, then presenting the proposed setup for review.
Why use it?
It creates a consistent starting point while making assumptions visible and preserving existing README and governance decisions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00024 $0.00269
Opus 5.5 $0.00010 $0.00108
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00005 $0.00054
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00027

Security

Grade A, and why

bootstrap-project scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

bootstrap-project

Bootstrap a project from available design and requirements inputs with review-first output.

When to use

  • Use when initializing a project baseline or reconciling missing setup artifacts.

Inputs

  • requirements.md and/or design docs if present
  • Existing repository structure and configuration files

Required behavior

  1. Infer initial runtime context from explicit project artifacts.
  2. Ensure docs/ exists when missing.
  3. Initialize or update ROADMAP.md with deterministic checkpoints.
  4. Create README.md only if it does not already exist.
  5. Generate docs/File-Structure-Reference.md from observed repository structure.
  6. Generate docs/Project-Constraints.md from requirements/design artifacts and detected project configuration files.
  7. Propose placeholder population and generated-document changes with evidence.
  8. Present a reviewable change summary before final acceptance.

Guardrails

  • Label assumptions clearly when evidence is missing.
  • Label inferred constraints and structure assumptions explicitly in generated docs.
  • Do not silently overwrite existing governance decisions.
  • Do not overwrite an existing README.md during bootstrap.
  • Prefer minimal safe defaults when uncertainty remains.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

It adds 24 tokens to every session and 269 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
