gcloud-operation

gcloud-operation is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from woliveiras/geremmyas. It costs 45 tokens per session (383 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A checklist for safely running Google Cloud command-line operations. Google Cloud is a hosted platform for running applications and managing services, data, and infrastructure.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to inspect or prepare deployments and other Google Cloud changes, verify project and permission context, impersonate service accounts, and record the result.
Why use it?
It prevents commands from affecting the wrong project, region, account, or service, and encourages read-only checks before changes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00045 $0.00383
Opus 5 $0.00023 $0.00192
Sonnet 5 $0.00009 $0.00077
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00038

Security

Grade A, and why

gcloud-operation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

GCloud Operation

Operate Google Cloud with explicit project, account, and permission context.

Process

  1. Identify the target project, region/zone, account, and service account impersonation requirements.
  2. Inspect the current command or script for implicit gcloud config.
  3. Prefer read-only commands first, using --format for machine-readable output when needed.
  4. For mutating commands, state the exact resource, project, and consequence.
  5. Prefer service account impersonation over downloaded service account keys.
  6. Mutate a verified local, disposable, or test project autonomously when rollback or recreation exists and prefix the command with the matching GEREMMYAS_TARGET=local, test, or disposable marker. Treat an ambiguous project as protected. Production delete, deploy, IAM, billing, service enable/disable, and policy changes require explicit user authorization.
  7. Record the final command, output summary, and verification step.

Rules

  • Do not rely on the developer's active gcloud project in scripts.
  • Do not commit service account keys, ADC files, access tokens, or kubeconfigs.
  • Do not add --quiet unless the script already makes destructive choices explicit.
  • Distinguish gcloud CLI auth from Application Default Credentials.
  • Prefer least-privilege service accounts for automation.
  • Never use a production project as a test target.

Output

  • Target project/account/region summary
  • Safe command sequence
  • Environment and authority evidence for mutations
  • Verification command or observed result
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
