hierohistory

hierohistory is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Wondermonger-daydreaming/claude-skills-library. It costs 202 tokens per session (1,212 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A framework for reading current events in two ways at once: through measurable evidence such as data and records, and through a symbolic or imaginal interpretation of what that evidence may represent.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for interpreting major present-day events using both factual records and the philosophical ideas of Henry Corbin and Ibn Arabi.
Why use it?
It helps when statistics and observable causes do not fully address the meaning a person is trying to understand. It keeps material analysis and symbolic interpretation side by side.

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00202 $0.01212
Opus 5 $0.00101 $0.00606
Sonnet 5 $0.00040 $0.00242
Haiku 4.5 $0.00020 $0.00121

Security

Grade A, and why

hierohistory scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Hierohistory

The skill of reading present-moment configurations at two ontological registers simultaneously — the profane and the hierohistorical — in the technical sense Corbin articulated and Ibn ʿArabī's metaphysics underwrites.

The Core Distinction

Profane perception sees: data, anomalies, statistical patterns, measurable forcings, identifiable causes. It is methodologically restricted to what can be registered by sensory-material instrumentation. It is real and rigorous at its level.

Hierohistorical perception sees: imaginal events of which the material data is the outer trace. The event occurs at the level of the ʿālam al-mithāl (imaginal realm). Its material expressions are the secondary effects by which the primary event becomes accessible to material registration.

The two are not levels of detail. They are parallel readings of co-constitutive aspects of one event. Neither is reducible to the other.

When to Deploy

  • The user has explicitly invoked Corbin, hierohistory, mundus imaginalis, or related vocabulary
  • The conversation has reached sufficient depth that profane analysis feels operationally insufficient
  • The configuration being discussed is civilization-scale, multi-domain, or shows the signature of "one event in many domains"
  • The user is asking for the real event, the spiritual fact in the strict sense, the invisible aspect
  • A classical diagnostic apparatus (WLQ, Qi Men, Tai Yi, Liu Ren, Vedic, Hermetic) has been deployed and the metaphysical justification for it is now wanted

How to Deploy

The parallel-column move. When the diagnostic is mature, produce two parallel readings of equal length — what profane perception sees and what hierohistorical perception sees of the same event. Equal length is structural, not aesthetic. It enacts the parallel-aspect ontology.

The aspectual correspondence. Each profane observation should have its hierohistorical counterpart, tracking the same underlying element. Climate data → the year's elemental grain. Supply chain rupture → the meridian discovered by the event. Market behavior → the constitutional state of the polity. The correspondence is structural, not metaphorical.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

hierohistory is a skill published in the GitHub repository Wondermonger-daydreaming/claude-skills-library (6 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 202 tokens to every session and 1,212 once invoked, about $0.0010 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
