verify

verify is a skill for Claude Code from younnieCutler/japan-career-agent. It costs 46 tokens per session (462 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A final, read-only check for a completed Career Agent document or other career artifact. It verifies that the file is readable, traceable to its sources, and passes the repository’s existing checks.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it at the end of a career-document workflow to run the appropriate check, confirm source details and dates, and verify the expected file exists.
Why use it?
It provides evidence that the finished artifact meets known checks without changing the underlying career data.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00046 $0.00462
Opus 5 $0.00023 $0.00231
Sonnet 5 $0.00009 $0.00092
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00046

Security

Grade A, and why

verify scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

verify — final artifact verification

Run this Skill only after the preceding Domain and expression steps have produced their artifact. The Host remains responsible for reading the artifact and reporting what the checks actually found.

Goal

Confirm that the final artifact is readable, has the expected provenance, and passes the existing deterministic gate appropriate to its kind. A pass is evidence that known checks passed; it is not a hiring prediction or a guarantee that every sentence is faithful.

Workflow

  1. Identify the artifact paths reported by the preceding plan step.
  2. Run the existing repository check that owns that artifact. For a 職務経歴書, use career-agent document-check before treating it as renderable.
  3. Confirm that every material external claim still has its source, observed date, confidence, and provenance, when the artifact contains such claims.
  4. Confirm that the artifact path exists and is the expected non-canonical projection.
  5. Report completed with the commands and artifact paths, or report blocked/failed with the exact check and error. Do not repair the Vault, pipeline, or event ledger here.

Rules

  • This is a terminal verifier, not an orchestrator.
  • Do not invoke factcheck, trim, re0, ssotize, or any other Skill from this SOP.
  • Do not overwrite a rendered artifact or canonical career record.
  • Preserve Unknown, source conflicts, confidentiality flags, and approval boundaries.
  • A deterministic check passing is a floor, not permission to invent evidence.

Verification

Return the same artifact references the plan supplied, the exact checks run, and a terminal skill-report status. A completed report requires a non-empty summary; a failed or blocked report requires the concrete error.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

verify is a skill published in the GitHub repository younnieCutler/japan-career-agent (6 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 46 tokens to every session and 462 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
