Year-Versioning Convention
Data files are versioned by year (e.g., badges2024.json, members2024.json). When creating data for a new contest year:
- Create NEW year-suffixed files (e.g.,
badges2025.json) — do NOT overwrite existing ones. - Keep prior years' files intact for historical reference.
- Update the route/CLI code to reference the new year's files.

Constraints
- CLI utilities (
.mjs) are ES Modules — useimportsyntax andcreateRequirefor CommonJS interop. - Route files (
.js) are CommonJS — userequire(). - The gameboard HTML uses embedded SVG with CSS animations — keep the CRT/retro aesthetic.
- Error pages for Devtoberfest use the CRT-themed variant, not the standard SVG error card.
