go-to-market-strategy

go-to-market-strategy is a skill for Claude Code from Avyayalaya/pm-skills-arsenal. It costs 70 tokens per session (20,796 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of go-to-market-strategy, MIT.

A go-to-market strategy method plans how a product reaches its first and later customers, including target groups, sales or marketing channels, launch stages, pricing checks, positioning, and success measures.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for product launches, entry into new markets, changes in sales strategy, channel planning, launch-readiness reviews, and go-or-no-go decisions.
Why use it?
It turns a launch idea into a sequence of decisions with economic checks, readiness gates, and conditions for stopping or changing course.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00070 $0.20796
Opus 5 $0.00035 $0.10398
Sonnet 5 $0.00014 $0.04159
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.02080

Security

Grade A, and why

go-to-market-strategy scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Purpose

Produce an elite-tier go-to-market strategy document that identifies the market wedge, selects and scores beachhead segments, designs channel strategy with unit economics, sequences launch phases with gates and kill criteria, positions against competitors, and defines success metrics with explicit failure conditions — a GTM strategy a PM cannot produce unaided. The output is a GTM Strategy Document — not a launch checklist, but a structural argument for how to win the first customers and compound from there.

When to Use / When NOT to Use

Use this skill when:

  • Launching a new product or feature into a market (new or existing)
  • Entering a new market with an existing product
  • Pivoting an existing product's GTM motion (e.g., sales-led to product-led)
  • Evaluating whether a market entry is viable (go/no-go decision)
  • Designing channel strategy with unit economics constraints
  • Planning launch sequencing with explicit gates and kill criteria
  • Assessing launch readiness before committing budget

Do NOT use this skill when:

  • You need a competitive analysis without a launch plan (use Competitive Market Analysis skill)
  • You need a product specification (use Specification Writing skill)
  • You need to validate a problem exists before solving it (use Problem Framing skill)
  • You need to run experiments to validate assumptions (use Metric Design & Experimentation skill)
  • You need a marketing campaign plan (this produces strategy, not execution assets)
  • The product is already at scale and you need retention/growth optimization (this is for market entry, not market defense)

Anti-inputs (what this skill does NOT handle):

  • Marketing copy, email sequences, or campaign assets (downstream of GTM strategy)
  • Pricing model design in isolation (pricing is one dimension of channel economics here, not the sole output)
  • Organizational design for GTM teams (team structure follows strategy, not the other way around)
  • International expansion playbooks (this covers market entry logic; localization is a separate discipline)

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
