shotgrid-batch

shotgrid-batch is a skill for Claude Code from dcc-mcp/dcc-mcp-fpt. It costs 54 tokens per session (362 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A ShotGrid skill for sending many create, update, or delete requests in one API call. ShotGrid is production-management software used to track media projects and their assets, shots, tasks, and versions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for bulk pipeline automation: creating, updating, or retiring multiple ShotGrid records. It is not intended for one-record operations.
Why use it?
It avoids handling each record separately when the same workflow affects many ShotGrid entities, while returning a result for every request.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00054 $0.00362
Opus 5 $0.00027 $0.00181
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00072
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00036

Security

Grade A, and why

shotgrid-batch scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/batch_operations.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

ShotGrid Batch

Run multiple create, update, and delete operations in a single ShotGrid API call. Ideal for pipeline automation and bulk data tasks.

The tool accepts optional project, project_id, and project_scoped inputs. Creates inherit the default project when data.project is missing; updates and deletes validate each request against the configured project permission policy before the batch is sent.

Tools

Tool Intent
batch_operations Execute a list of create/update/delete requests atomically

After Success

  • Returns results array matching request order (one result per request).
  • Failed items appear in results with error details.

After Failure

  • Check individual request items for errors.
  • Verify credentials via shotgrid-discovery__check_connection.
  • Delete requests require admin permission for the target project.
Files

What ships with it

2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
