shotgrid-crud

shotgrid-crud is a skill for Claude Code from dcc-mcp/dcc-mcp-fpt. It costs 59 tokens per session (540 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A ShotGrid skill for managing individual records: finding, creating, updating, and retiring entities. ShotGrid is production-management software used to track media projects and their work.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for single-entity operations such as searching records, creating one, changing its fields, or retiring it. It is not for bulk requests or schema queries.
Why use it?
It covers the standard record-management tasks while using project filters and logging destructive changes; deletion retires records instead of permanently removing them.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00059 $0.00540
Opus 5 $0.00030 $0.00270
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00108
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00054

Security

Grade A, and why

shotgrid-crud scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 5 executable files (scripts/create_entity.py, scripts/delete_entity.py, scripts/find_entities.py, …), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

ShotGrid CRUD

Core entity management for ShotGrid. Provides the standard CRUD surface plus single-entity lookup. All destructive operations log the change; delete_entity retires entities rather than permanently removing them.

All tools accept optional project, project_id, and project_scoped inputs. When omitted, the server uses SHOTGRID_PROJECT or SHOTGRID_PROJECT_ID if configured. Reads add a project filter, creates inject data.project when missing, and updates/deletes enforce the configured project permission policy.

Tools

Tool Intent
find_entities Search entities with filters, pagination, and field selection
find_one_entity Find a single entity by filters, return None if not found
create_entity Create a new entity with field values
update_entity Update fields on an existing entity by ID
delete_entity Retire an entity (soft-delete)

After Success

  • find_entities and find_one_entity return the entity dict(s).
  • create_entity returns the new entity with its generated ID.
  • update_entity returns the updated fields.
  • delete_entity returns True.

After Failure

  • Check shotgrid-discovery__check_connection to verify credentials.
  • Verify entity type exists via shotgrid-discovery__list_entity_types.
  • Check field names via shotgrid-schema__get_field_schema.
  • If permission is denied, inspect SHOTGRID_PERMISSION_LEVEL and SHOTGRID_PROJECT_PERMISSIONS; delete/retire requires admin.
Files

What ships with it

6 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
