wave8-enableable-component-query-mismatch

wave8-enableable-component-query-mismatch is a skill for Claude Code from dyCuong03/unity-agent-team. It costs 45 tokens per session (1,064 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide to choosing the right Unity ECS query filter for components that can be enabled or disabled without being removed. It distinguishes enabled entities, disabled entities, excluded entities, and queries that ignore the enabled state.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when writing or reviewing queries for enableable components, or when diagnosing systems that handle the wrong set of entities.
Why use it?
Using the wrong filter can silently skip entities or process entities that should be left out, without producing an obvious error.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00045 $0.01064
Opus 5.5 $0.00018 $0.00426
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00009 $0.00213
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00106

Security

Grade A, and why

wave8-enableable-component-query-mismatch scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Enableable Component Query Mismatch

Intent

Select the correct EntityQuery filter method (WithAll, WithDisabled, WithNone, IgnoreComponentEnabledState) for IEnableableComponent to avoid silently processing the wrong entity set.

Use When

  • Writing any query that targets an IEnableableComponent type
  • Diagnosing systems that silently miss entities or process entities they should skip

Avoid When

  • The component is a plain struct IComponentData without IEnableableComponent — enabled-state filtering does not apply

Senior Pattern

public struct ActiveTag : IComponentData, IEnableableComponent { }

// Case 1 — Process ONLY entities where ActiveTag is ENABLED (default behavior):
foreach (var health in SystemAPI.Query<RefRW<Health>>().WithAll<ActiveTag>())
{
    health.ValueRW.Current -= damage;
    // Only processes entities where ActiveTag enabled bit is true
}

// Case 2 — Process ONLY entities where ActiveTag is DISABLED (e.g., sleeping/inactive):
foreach (var health in SystemAPI.Query<RefRW<Health>>().WithDisabled<ActiveTag>())
{
    health.ValueRW.Current += regenRate;
    // Only processes entities where ActiveTag enabled bit is false
}

// Case 3 — Process ALL entities regardless of enabled state:
var allQuery = SystemAPI.QueryBuilder()
    .WithAll<Health>()
    .WithOptions(EntityQueryOptions.IgnoreComponentEnabledState)
    .Build();
// Use sparingly — bypasses chunk-level enabled optimization

// Case 4 — Process ONLY entities that do NOT HAVE ActiveTag at all (structural absence):
foreach (var health in SystemAPI.Query<RefRW<Health>>().WithNone<ActiveTag>())
{
    // Entities that never had ActiveTag added — NOT for "disabled" filtering
}

// Case 5 — Read enabled state per-entity in IJobEntity:
[BurstCompile]
public partial struct ConditionalUpdateJob : IJobEntity
{
    [BurstCompile]
    public void Execute(EnabledRefRO<ActiveTag> isActive, ref Health health)
    {
        if (isActive.ValueRO)
            health.Current -= 1;
        // Only correct when IgnoreComponentEnabledState is set on the job's query
    }
}

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

wave8-enableable-component-query-mismatch is a skill published in the GitHub repository dyCuong03/unity-agent-team (7 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 45 tokens to every session and 1,064 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-02.
