Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Grade A, and why
fluidcad-custom-features scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 201 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Provenance: maintained in the FluidCAD repo (https://github.com/Fluid-CAD/FluidCAD), under mcp/skills/. The installed local skill files are the runtime source of truth.
Writing a custom feature
This skill layers on top of the fluidcad skill. That one owns the loop: read the docs, plan in generic CAD terms, build in increments, check render.state and objectErrors, resolve filters before writing them, screenshot when a feature earns it, and report only what was checked. Follow it for the test part. This skill covers what is specific to a custom feature: deciding that one is warranted, designing it as a feature a user fills in, writing the module, and proving it in a part.
The governing principle: a custom feature is a CAD feature first and code second. Its user picks a face and types a height in a dialog, then fillets its rim and repeats it; design for that user, write the code to that design, and prove it the way that user will use it.
1. Decide whether one is warranted
Write a custom feature when one construction recurs (across models, or across places in a model with different values) and should be one statement, one dialog, one timeline row: a PCB standoff on any face, a ring of clearance holes around any axis, a vent grid on any panel, bosses at a set of connectors.
Don't write one, and say why, when:
- the geometry occurs once: write the statements in the model;
- it is the same geometry again in one model:
repeat()re-applies a feature at new positions,copy()duplicates a finished shape; - it is a whole part reused with other dimensions: a
part()withparam()values, inserted where needed (the fluidcad-assembly skill) — unless one feature builds that part and it should carry the feature's dialog: then the feature plusdefinePart(section 9); - it is several parts that move against each other, sized from one set of values (a wardrobe with hinged doors and sliding drawers): a generated assembly,
Generator+defineAssembly(section 9); - a built-in already does it (
hole()for drilled, clearance, tapped, counterbored and countersunk holes;draft();rib();shell()): search the docs first.
What ships with it
2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

fluidcad-custom-features is a skill published in the GitHub repository Fluid-CAD/FluidCAD (694 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 243 tokens to every session and 8,251 once invoked, about $0.0010 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-11-07.
