HyperFrames is an open-source framework that turns HTML, CSS, media, and timed animations into deterministic MP4 videos. It is used locally, by coding agents, and in hosted authoring workflows to create rendered videos from web-based designs. Its catalogue add-ons provide skills, agents, instructions, hooks, settings, and a plugin for agent-driven video production.
Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

What it costs to keep this loaded
Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00061 | $0.01237 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00024 | $0.00495 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00012 | $0.00247 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00124 |
Grade A, and why
reverse-any-video scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 38 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Plugin installs: Before setup or freshness commands, follow plugin execution rules when this skill is inside a HyperFrames plugin.
Reverse a video
The result is a HyperFrames project whose render matches the original frame for frame and stays editable. Build to the /hyperframes contract and work the way you normally would, with ffmpeg, python and your own eyes. Reverse videos the person has the right to use.
Reverse is a HyperFrames Pro feature: go on only on a paid plan. Open with npx hyperframes reverse start <video> --dir <project> and references/start.md; if it refuses, run its fix (billing subscribe waits for the upgrade), then start again. Given a link, run npx hyperframes auth status before downloading it. Resuming (a REVERSE.md or half-built project) opens the same. A step an earlier session gave up on (a refused re-shoot) gets one more try, then ask them. If it ran under a credit limit, ask whether that still holds, naming no costs. Rebuild the video as it is; remix it only when the person asks.
The original decides the frame
- The probe
reverse startprinted: the root composition is that size exactly,data-fpsis its rate (NTSC stays a fraction:30000/1001) and its duration is the video's frames ÷ fps, not the audio's length.init's default canvas is wrong for most videos. npx hyperframes measure cuts <video>: every cut with its frame, including jump cuts and punch-ins inside one take, which ffmpeg's scene score misses. Every shot starts at its listed time. Write times as frame ÷ fps rounded down (frame 83 at 30 fps is2.766666):2.767lands a frame late.- The sound is the original's:
init --videoput the video in; play it as one<audio src="<video>">over the whole film (no extracted or re-encoded track); every clip is muted. - Read consecutive frames wherever something changes: each cut, entrance, exit and transition, a few frames either side (
npx hyperframes measure frames --range a,b --roi x,y,w,h). Sheets a second or a quarter apart miss 1–3-frame timing, which way things enter and leave, blurs and dissolves at cuts, and one-frame flashes.
What ships with it
4 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

reverse-any-video is a skill published in the GitHub repository heygen-com/hyperframes (78,383 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 61 tokens to every session and 1,237 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-31.
Other skills, from other repositories
html-to-video
A code-based video renderer that draws HTML or Canvas animations frame by frame and turns them into MP4 files. It also supports GIFs, transparent layers, subtitles, and reusable templates according to the supplied description.
architecture-diagram
Create a professional, dark-themed software/system architecture diagram as a single self-contained HTML file with inline SVG. Use when asked to visualize system components, layers, services, or how parts of a codebase fit together.
motion2code
Rebuilds an AI-generated (or any) flat motion design video as clean, editable code: inline SVG shapes animated by one GSAP timeline, seekable frame by frame, looping seamlessly, checked side by side against the source; and optionally turns an interface recording into a real interactive website (GSAP ScrollTrigger…
remotion
Use when creating, rendering, and managing programmatic videos using Remotion (React-based video framework). Covers compositions, frame-driven animation, transitions, effects, captions, audio, voiceover, FFmpeg post-production, and professional SaaS-grade motion design.
validate-motion
Browse MotionSpec motion primitives and draft or validate a MotionSpec JSON specification for web animation. Use for catalog questions, choosing an available primitive, or checking an existing spec. This workflow validates specifications; it does not compile, deploy or execute animation.
motiscope-analyze
Analyze a screen recording of an animation to characterize its motion — timing, easing, transforms, and sequencing — so it can be recreated as web code. Use when the user drops or points at a video of an animation (.mp4/.mov/.webm/.mkv/.m4v/.avi/.gif) and says things like "I want this animation on my site", "recreate…
