experiment-readout

experiment-readout is a skill for Codex from jeremylongworth-source/AgentSkills. It costs 51 tokens per session (305 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for writing a clear report about what happened in a product, growth, pricing, user-experience, or operational test. It compares the observed results with the hypothesis and the decision rule agreed before the test.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to summarise A/B tests and pilots, review primary and safeguard metrics, decide whether to ship or iterate, and document follow-up work.
Why use it?
It keeps measured changes separate from interpretation and checks safeguards before suggesting a rollout. It also records data-quality problems and what should be learned next.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00051 $0.00305
Opus 5 $0.00026 $0.00152
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00061
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00030

Security

Grade A, and why

experiment-readout scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Experiment Readout

Core Workflow

  1. Identify hypothesis, variants, audience, dates, primary metric, guardrails, sample, and decision rule.
  2. Summarize results against the pre-stated decision rule.
  3. Separate observed movement, statistical/practical significance, data quality, and interpretation.
  4. Check guardrails and unintended effects before recommending rollout.
  5. State decision: ship, iterate, stop, extend, or rerun.
  6. Capture learning, follow-up questions, and next experiment.

Safety Rules

  • Do not invent sample sizes, statistical significance, confidence intervals, or metric values.
  • Do not recommend rollout when guardrails failed or data quality is poor.
  • Escalate pricing, medical, legal, employment, financial, or high-risk customer-impacting experiments.

Deliverable Shape

For experiment readouts, provide:

  • Hypothesis and setup
  • Metrics and decision rule
  • Results summary
  • Guardrail review
  • Data quality caveats
  • Decision
  • Learning
  • Follow-up actions

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

experiment-readout is a skill published in the GitHub repository jeremylongworth-source/AgentSkills (1 stars, last pushed 8d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 51 tokens to every session and 305 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
