ai-sdr-setup

ai-sdr-setup is a skill for Claude Code from LeadMagic/gtm-skills. It costs 65 tokens per session (2,413 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of instructions for deploying AI sales-development representatives, software agents that research prospects and support outbound sales. It focuses on narrow pilots, quality checks, routing rules, and human review.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan AI-assisted prospect research, email drafting, buying-signal routing, outbound automation, vendor selection, and human handoffs.
Why use it?
It reduces the risk of letting an automated agent send poor-quality or non-compliant messages without oversight. It helps define what the agent may do and when a person must take over.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00065 $0.02413
Opus 5 $0.00032 $0.01207
Sonnet 5 $0.00013 $0.00483
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00241

Security

Grade A, and why

ai-sdr-setup scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/check-output.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

AI SDR Setup

Overview

Most AI SDR deployments fail because the team treats the agent like a fully autonomous rep instead of a constrained workflow engine. The mistake is giving the agent a list, a writing prompt, and send access before defining quality gates, source-of-truth data, suppression logic, and human handoff rules.

This skill builds an AI SDR launch program that starts narrow, validates message quality, routes the right signals to the right action, and keeps humans in control of anything that can affect brand, compliance, or customer relationships.

When to Use

Use this skill when the user asks to:

  • "set up an AI SDR"
  • "automate outbound prospecting"
  • "deploy 11x / Artisan / AiSDR / Jason AI"
  • "build an AI sales agent"
  • "replace manual SDR research"
  • "automate prospect research and email drafting"
  • "create AI-powered sales development"
  • "route buying signals into outbound"
  • "design human handoff for AI replies"

Do not use this for generic outbound strategy. Use cold-email-strategy first if the user has no ICP, segment, offer, or sequence design.

Authoritative Foundations

Anthropic — Tool Use and Human-in-the-Loop Patterns

AI agents should be given constrained tools, clear success criteria, and explicit approval gates for external actions. For SDR work, drafts can be automated, but sending, CRM mutation, and sequence enrollment need controls.

ColdIQ — Signal-to-Action Routing

ColdIQ's automation patterns map observed signals to deterministic plays: hiring signal → hiring-specific sequence, funding signal → expansion or scale message, job change → champion-tracking play. AI SDRs work best when the routing is deterministic and the writing is assisted.

Winning by Design — Bowtie Revenue Model

Outbound is only one stage of the revenue bowtie. AI SDRs should optimize for qualified pipeline and customer fit, not raw activity volume. The handoff to AE and CS must preserve context.

11x / Artisan / AiSDR / Jason AI — AI SDR Category Patterns

AI SDR platforms converge around the same operating model: data input, account/contact research, sequence generation, reply classification, and human handoff. Vendor choice matters less than workflow control.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
