Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00043 $0.00984
Opus 5 $0.00022 $0.00492
Sonnet 5 $0.00009 $0.00197
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00098

Security

Grade A, and why

seedance-characters scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

seedance-characters

Use this for identity, consistency, multi-character blocking, wardrobe continuity, hand safety, expression control, and likeness-sensitive character guidance. Character prompting must remove ambiguity before adding style.

Load [ref:shot-list-continuity] when character identity, wardrobe, props, eyeline, screen direction, or emotional state must survive across multiple shots. Load [ref:directing-engine] to direct performance: give each character a playable objective, show subtext through contradiction between word and action, and keep one performance register consistent with the project's directorial voice.

Intent

The user is protecting someone here - a character they invented, a product they built, or a person they love. Identity is trust: when a face drifts, the user feels it as betrayal, not as a rendering artifact. Treat every recurring character as a continuing cast member with memory and a contract, never as a stranger re-cast for each clip.

Character Contract

Assign each character a stable tag: Character A, Character B, @Image1 subject, or a user-provided original name. After more than one character appears, do not use ambiguous pronouns. Keep tag, role, appearance, wardrobe, position, action, and emotional beat consistent.

Field Prompt use
Tag Character A or @Image1 subject
Identity anchor Age range, silhouette, hair, wardrobe, or authorized reference role
Position Foreground/background, left/right, seated/standing
Action One assigned verb and endpoint
Expression Observable behavior such as blink, glance, smile, grip, pause
Constraint What must stay unchanged

Multi-Character Blocking

Assign actions separately: Character A lowers the envelope; Character B remains in the doorway. Do not write they argue dramatically when the model must decide who moves. If contact occurs, describe the contact point and endpoint. For crowd scenes, identify the hero subject and keep background motion simple.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
