pptx

pptx is a skill for Claude Code from matteotitta/genesys-skills. It costs 301 tokens per session (3,643 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A tool that turns a prepared slide outline into a styled PowerPoint presentation using a resolved brand kit. A brand kit is a set of rules for colors, fonts, spacing, and visual style.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to render sales decks, proposals, webinars, product launches, or case studies as branded .pptx files.
Why use it?
It removes the need to apply those visual rules manually to every slide. The outline and its source-attributed claims must already exist.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00301 $0.03643
Opus 5 $0.00151 $0.01821
Sonnet 5 $0.00060 $0.00729
Haiku 4.5 $0.00030 $0.00364

Security

Grade A, and why

pptx scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 271 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

/pptx — brand-agnostic, design-library-bound PowerPoint renderer

Apply any resolved brand kit to a slide outline and render a .pptx that meets the design library's quality bar. Brand-agnostic: same code path produces a ClientCo deck, an ClientCo deck, or a Genesys deck — only the resolved BrandConfig differs.

This skill is renderer-only, not author. The outline (titles, body, speaker notes, source-attributed claims) comes from /sales-deck, /proposal, /webinar, /product-launch, /case-study, or you. This skill turns that outline into a brand-applied, design-reviewer-clean deck.

Doctrine inherited (Step 7 — 0626 rollout, locked 2026-06-04)

Renderer skill — inherits doctrine from consuming author skills (sales-deck, proposal, webinar, etc.). Applies [[feedback_execution_doctrine_refinements_step6]] R3 (template caption library defaults to product-update tone — no "thrilled" defaults), R9 (slide-title templates verb-led). R1/R2/R5/R6/R7/R8 cascade from authoring skills per slide content.

The skill sits in primitives/design/ next to /dashboard, /figma-prototype, /vibe-coding and inherits the design library at composition time:

  • Layout / typeset / distill / polish / cognitive-load principles via the wrapper references

Adapted from Anthropic's document-skills:pptx example skill — see ATTRIBUTION.md. Python tooling (XML pack/unpack, ECMA/ISO validators, soffice → pdf → jpg pipeline) preserved unchanged.

For full brand-resolution waterfall, parser spec, and token → pptxgenjs field map → the premium reference. For the 12-type slide grammar → the premium reference. For the locked-zone grid → the premium reference.

Triggers

Invoke when user says:

  • /pptx (with an outline path or upstream skill output)
  • "render this deck as pptx"
  • "make a powerpoint for [client]"
  • "build a branded pptx"
  • "apply [client] brand to this deck"
  • "convert this outline to slides"

Do NOT invoke when:

  • User wants to write a deck from positioning/messaging (use /sales-deck)
  • User wants Google Slides output (use cd.claude/mcp/gdrive && node create-slides.mjs)
  • User wants a PDF (use document-skills:pdf)
  • User wants to read/extract text from an existing pptx without rendering (use python -m markitdown file.pptx directly)

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

pptx is a skill published in the GitHub repository matteotitta/genesys-skills (36 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 301 tokens to every session and 3,643 once invoked, about $0.0015 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
