transcript-analysis

transcript-analysis is a skill for Claude Code from matteotitta/genesys-skills. It costs 27 tokens per session (1,719 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A method for examining transcripts from calls, podcasts, videos, interviews, or webinars and turning them into structured findings. Each finding must be supported by an exact quote with its timestamp and speaker.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps extract takeaways, quotes, and speaker-attributed insights from pasted transcripts or available meeting and video transcripts.
Why use it?
It makes summaries auditable and reduces the risk of adding claims that were not actually said. Readers can trace each conclusion back to the original conversation.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00027 $0.01719
Opus 5 $0.00014 $0.00860
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00344
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00172

Security

Grade A, and why

transcript-analysis scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 111 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Transcript analysis

Extract structured, verifiable insights from long-form transcripts with strict anti-hallucination guardrails — every insight follows the Pyramid Principle (SCQA structure) and traces to a timestamped, speaker-attributed verbatim quote. The Iron Law: NO INSIGHT WITHOUT VERBATIM QUOTE. Pulls transcripts from Granola (meetings) and YouTube (videos) when MCPs are available; otherwise uses user-pasted text.

Doctrine inherited (Step 7 — 0626 rollout, locked 2026-06-04)

Internal-reference skill — feeds insights to other skills. Applies [[feedback_execution_doctrine_refinements_step6]] R1 (inline verbatim quotes + timestamps stay — auditability is the Iron Law), R3 (insight framing operator-direct), R9 (verb-led section headings). R2/R5/R6/R7/R8 not applicable (no customer-facing surface).

When to run

Invoke when the user says: "Analyze this transcript", "Extract takeaways from [transcript]", "Summarize this call", "Podcast summary", "Video transcript analysis", "Interview insights", "Webinar notes", "Extract key points from [content]", "What did they say about [topic]", "Meeting notes from transcript", "Conference talk summary", "Extract quotes from [transcript]".

Do NOT invoke for:

  • Sales call win/loss analysis → win-loss-analysis
  • Competitor research → competitor-research
  • Quick 2-3 sentence summary → answer directly
  • Creating new content from transcript → clarify (analysis vs. content creation); content goes to linkedin-content / thought-leadership

Inputs

Required: Full transcript text (pasted, file, or pulled via Granola / YouTube MCP).

Optional (improve quality): speaker metadata (names, roles, companies); context (purpose, topic area, date recorded); focus areas (specific topics or questions to prioritize); output format (specific structure needed); analysis mode (full / quick takeaways / topic extraction / quote mining / speaker analysis — default: full).

Validation gate before proceeding:

  • Transcript text provided
  • Analysis mode confirmed (or defaulting to full)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
