youtube-scripts

youtube-scripts is a skill for Claude Code from matteotitta/genesys-skills. It costs 23 tokens per session (1,934 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A YouTube script-writing guide for planning videos that keep viewers engaged. It covers the opening, pacing, section timing, reminders to maintain attention, and the closing action.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps write scripts for software-company videos, including hooks, timing markers, retention prompts, a single call to action, titles, thumbnail concepts, and search descriptions.
Why use it?
It gives a video a clear structure instead of leaving the presenter to improvise. It also keeps supporting items such as titles, thumbnail ideas, descriptions, and comments in one plan.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00023 $0.01934
Opus 5 $0.00012 $0.00967
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00387
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00193

Security

Grade A, and why

youtube-scripts scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 127 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

YouTube Scripts

Generate retention-optimized YouTube scripts that treat video content as a lifecycle system, not a one-time event. Every script ships with hook options, timing markers, body framework, retention hooks every 2-3 minutes, single-CTA outro, and supporting assets (3 titles under 60 chars, 2-3 thumbnail concepts, SEO description with timestamps, pinned comment). Research source is Exa per .claude/rules/exa-protocol.md — primary tool web_search_exa for fact-checking and B-roll references; cite per ontology with [VERIFIED: exa_search, {url}, accessed YYYY-MM-DD]; ≥3 sources per major claim, ≥50% verified, no fallback to WebSearch without flagging the data gap.

Doctrine inherited (Step 7 — 0626 rollout, locked 2026-06-04)

Output complies with output-tenets.md, output-simplicity.md, ai-speak-anti-patterns.md. Step 6 calibration: see [[feedback_execution_doctrine_refinements_step6]].

Refinements applied: R1 (script body has no inline source tags — researcher-facing notes only; rendered video has no source frames), R3 (script voice operator-direct, never "thrilled to bring you"), R6 (single-CTA outro → sign-up primary for cold, product-action for warm), R9 (verb-led hook + retention beat names).

When to run

Invoke when the user says: "Write a YouTube script", "Create video script for [topic]", "YouTube video outline", "Script for YouTube about [topic]", "Video content script", "Help me script a video", "YouTube hooks for [topic]", "Video intro script".

Do NOT invoke for:

  • LinkedIn video content → linkedin-content
  • Podcast scripts → handle directly
  • Written articles → aeo-content
  • Presentation slides → sales-enablement

Inputs

Required: topic, angle/perspective, target viewer, key message (one sentence). Optional (improve quality): brand voice, existing content, SEO keywords, competitor videos, desired length, proof points (specific results / case studies / data).

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
