physics-oracle

physics-oracle is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from TaewoooPark/MagLab. It costs 84 tokens per session (343 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A calculation and checking tool for quantities in magnetic physics and spintronics, the study of electron spin in electronic devices. It checks units, plausible ranges, formulas, and physical laws.

In plain words
What is it for?
Checking magnetic-physics values, converting units, and calculating quantities such as exchange length, domain-wall width, and skyrmion radius.
Why use it?
It helps catch invalid values, mismatched units, and calculation mistakes without relying on estimated results.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00084 $0.00343
Opus 5 $0.00042 $0.00171
Sonnet 5 $0.00017 $0.00069
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00034

Security

Grade A, and why

physics-oracle scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

physics-oracle

Deterministic validation and calculation skill for magnetism & spintronics physics quantities.

When to use

  • When a physical quantity may be invalid — Gilbert damping > 1, negative temperature, M > M_s, etc.
  • When a magnetic unit conversion is needed — Oe↔A/m↔T, emu/cm³↔A/m, J_ij meV↔K, DMI mJ/m²↔meV.
  • Deterministic formula calculations — exchange length, domain wall width, skyrmion radius, etc.

Procedure

  1. Confirm the type and units of the quantity to validate or calculate — do not guess.
  2. Use the physics_check tool to verify dimensions, ranges, and conservation laws.
  3. Use physics_compute for calculations and convert_units for unit conversions.
  4. Do not fabricate numbers — report only the values returned by the tools.

Integrity

This skill calls only deterministic tools. LLM-estimated values are never used as results — consistent with MagLab's verifiable orchestrator principle (§3).

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

physics-oracle is a skill published in the GitHub repository TaewoooPark/MagLab (11 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 84 tokens to every session and 343 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
