skyrimvr-claude-toolkit: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/mod-release-review/SKILL.md

mod-release-review is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from WingedGuardian/skyrimvr-claude-toolkit. It costs 77 tokens per session (2,902 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A read-only release review for authors publishing a Skyrim mod, whether it contains plugins, scripts, meshes, assets, or SKSE DLLs. It examines only changes since the previous published version and waits for the author to confirm findings before fixes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it before a first release, update, or Nexus upload to review changed files, collect every finding, and let the author decide what to fix.
Why use it?
It avoids changing a mod based only on file inspection when the author has observed different behavior in the game.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00077 $0.02902
Opus 5.5 $0.00031 $0.01161
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00015 $0.00580
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00290

Security

Grade A, and why

mod-release-review scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Mod release review (author-gated)

Why this review asks before it fixes. A mod's correctness is judged in the game, by its author. The agent cannot see in-game behavior. A review that runs after the author has tested in game and then "fixes" something that only looks wrong on paper can publish a broken mod that was working. Every rule below exists to prevent that.

Words used here. The author = the user publishing the mod. Players = people who install it. Author-tested = behavior the author observed in game for this version.

The rules

  1. Read-only review. While reviewing, change nothing in the mod, the game install or the package — no fixes, cleanups or "while I'm here". Exports and decompiles for reading go to a scratch folder. Reviewer subagents are told not to edit.
  2. Every finding goes to the author, including definite ones. No silent fixes. No finding is dropped because the agent judged it minor.
  3. What the author saw in game outranks the agent's reading of the files — for what they actually saw. If the code reads as X and the author observed Y, the reading is the suspect. But testing covers only the behavior observed, on the author's install, with the build they ran (Phase 1). It does not cover packaging, dependencies, other load orders or a fresh install.
  4. Nothing is fixed without the author's individual approval. Suspected findings are confirmed one at a time.
  5. A fix to an author-tested area makes that testing stale. Say so each time, and name the re-test.

When to run it

Every release, before it is published. The author chooses when:

  • before their final in-game test pass. Approved fixes then get tested by that pass. This is usually the better choice: nothing changes after the author's sign-off.
  • after their testing. Any fix approved then makes that area's testing stale (rule 5).
  • both. A full review before the final pass, then a short re-check of only what changed since.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
