An integration guide for Specter, a progression system for game tasks, missions, achievements, quests, streaks, battle passes, rewards, and levels.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to send custom gameplay events, check player task progress, mark tasks complete through Specter’s rules, and support reward or level displays.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00105 $0.01536
Opus 5 $0.00053 $0.00768
Sonnet 5 $0.00021 $0.00307
Haiku 4.5 $0.00011 $0.00154

Security

Grade A, and why

specter-progression scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Specter Progression — tasks, achievements, battle pass, levels

Base URL and headers: see the specter skill. Tasks, rules and rewards are configured in the dashboard; the game's job is to (1) send events, (2) read status, (3) claim rewards.

The core loop: events drive everything

game does something
→ POST /events/send-custom (Bearer) with event name + parameters
→ Specter queues the event and evaluates task rules asynchronously (rules engine)
→ matching tasks are marked completed; rewards granted per claim mode
→ game polls /tasks/get-status (or player/me/get-task-status) and updates UI
POST /events/send-custom
{ "eventId": "match_finished", "customParams": { "score": 1500, "kills": 7, "won": true } }

eventId is the event's dashboard-configured id (slug), e.g. daily_streak_hit. It is NOT the event.id UUID that get-tasks returns inside task objects — sending that UUID fails with EventNotFoundException (1119). Verified against staging. Put gameplay values in customParams — task rule facts are matched against custom params. specterParams is for platform-default parameters; don't put your own fields there.

Validation is asynchronous (queue + rules engine) — completion lands seconds later, not in the response. Poll status when the player opens the quest screen; don't block gameplay on it.

Task model (what you configure, what the engine does)

A task = trigger event + optional parameters (aggregations over the player's event history)

Kind Behavior
One-time Completes once per schedule cycle
Recurring Resets each cycle (daily/weekly quests)
Cumulative (with parameters) "Collect 1000 coins" — sums/aggregates event params over time
Streak / time-series Last N events must all satisfy the condition
Step series Staged progression through ordered steps
Task group / mission Ordered set of tasks; group rewards on full completion

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
