baking-type-cleanup-component

baking-type-cleanup-component is a skill for Claude Code from dyCuong03/unity-agent-team. It costs 42 tokens per session (779 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A Unity ECS baking pattern for tracking entity creation, re-parenting, and destruction between incremental baking passes. The tracking component is kept during baking but removed from the runtime world.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when a baking system must recompute results after entities disappear or change parents, such as compound bounds built from child entities.
Why use it?
It lets later baking passes detect lifecycle changes and update dependent data instead of treating each pass as an unrelated full rebuild.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00042 $0.00779
Opus 5.5 $0.00017 $0.00312
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00008 $0.00156
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00078

Security

Grade A, and why

baking-type-cleanup-component scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

BakingType Cleanup Component — Entity Lifecycle Tracking

Intent

Track entity lifecycle (creation, re-parenting, destruction) within the incremental baking pipeline using ICleanupComponentData that survives entity destruction but is still stripped from the runtime world.

Use When

A baking system must detect which entities were destroyed or re-parented between baking passes, and recompute dependent data (e.g., compound bounding boxes when a child is removed).

Avoid When

Simple single-pass baking without lifecycle tracking — unnecessary complexity. Avoid in the runtime world — ICleanupComponentData without [BakingType] persists into the runtime world and requires explicit removal.

Senior Pattern

  • Struct implementing both ICleanupComponentData and tagged with [BakingType].
  • Baking system adds cleanup component to newly baked entities: query WithNone WithAll.
  • Destroyed entities: cleanup survives, [BakingType] primary component is removed. Query WithNone WithAll catches them.
  • Re-parented entities: compare stored Parent in cleanup to current Parent component.
  • After processing, RemoveComponent the cleanup from destroyed entities to avoid stale accumulation.

Code Template

[BakingType]
public struct BoundingBoxCleanup : ICleanupComponentData
{
    public Entity PreviousParent;
}

[WorldSystemFilter(WorldSystemFilterFlags.BakingSystem)]
public partial struct BoundingBoxLifecycleSystem : ISystem
{
    public void OnUpdate(ref SystemState state)
    {
        // Add cleanup to new entities
        var newQuery = SystemAPI.QueryBuilder()
            .WithAll<BoundingBox>()
            .WithNone<BoundingBoxCleanup>()
            .Build();
        state.EntityManager.AddComponent<BoundingBoxCleanup>(newQuery);

        // Detect destroyed entities (cleanup survives, BoundingBox gone)
        var destroyedEntities = SystemAPI.QueryBuilder()
            .WithAll<BoundingBoxCleanup>()
            .WithNone<BoundingBox>()
            .Build()
            .ToEntityArray(Allocator.Temp);

        foreach (var entity in destroyedEntities)
        {
            var cleanup = state.EntityManager.GetComponentData<BoundingBoxCleanup>(entity);
            // Trigger recompute on previous parent
            TriggerParentRecompute(ref state, cleanup.PreviousParent);
            state.EntityManager.RemoveComponent<BoundingBoxCleanup>(entity);
        }
        destroyedEntities.Dispose();
    }
}

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

baking-type-cleanup-component is a skill published in the GitHub repository dyCuong03/unity-agent-team (7 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 42 tokens to every session and 779 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-02.
