ijobentity-parallel-job

ijobentity-parallel-job is a skill for Claude Code from dyCuong03/unity-agent-team. It costs 32 tokens per session (611 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A Unity Data-Oriented Technology Stack job pattern that processes many game entities in parallel. Its Execute method describes which entity data the job reads and writes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for parallel game simulation tasks such as updating entity movement or other Burst-compatible per-entity logic.
Why use it?
It provides a standard way to run independent per-entity work across worker threads without manually managing the entity query.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00032 $0.00611
Opus 5.5 $0.00013 $0.00244
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00122
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00061

Security

Grade A, and why

ijobentity-parallel-job scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

IJobEntity — Parallel Job

Intent

Execute per-entity computation in parallel across worker threads using a source-generated job whose query is inferred from the Execute method signature.

Use When

Per-entity work that is parallelizable, Burst-friendly, and does not require chunk-level control. The primary pattern for simulation logic in production DOTS.

Avoid When

You need chunk-level early-exit, direct chunk pointer access, or change filtering via chunk.DidChange() — use IJobChunk. Avoid when the job needs ECB.ParallelWriter without [ChunkIndexInQuery] — add the parameter first.

Senior Pattern

  • partial struct MyJob : IJobEntity with [BurstCompile].
  • Execute signature declares read/write intent: ref = write, in = read.
  • Schedule with state.Dependency = new MyJob { ... }.ScheduleParallel(state.Dependency).
  • Use [WithAll], [WithNone], [WithAny] attributes on the struct for query filtering.
  • Add [ChunkIndexInQuery] int chunkIndex to Execute when ECB.ParallelWriter is needed.

Code Template

[BurstCompile]
partial struct ApplyVelocityJob : IJobEntity
{
    public float DeltaTime;

    void Execute(ref LocalTransform transform, in Velocity velocity)
    {
        transform.Position += velocity.Value * DeltaTime;
    }
}

[BurstCompile]
public void OnUpdate(ref SystemState state)
{
    state.Dependency = new ApplyVelocityJob
    {
        DeltaTime = SystemAPI.Time.DeltaTime
    }.ScheduleParallel(state.Dependency);
}

Anti-Patterns

  • Forgetting to assign the return of Schedule to state.Dependency — next system races against this job.
  • Using ScheduleParallel with a non-parallel ECB — safety exception at runtime.
  • Capturing a NativeContainer without [ReadOnly] when it is read-only — false write dependency.
  • Using Schedule (single-threaded) when ScheduleParallel is safe — wastes parallel budget.

Runtime Risks

  • Missing state.Dependency chain: data race between this job and subsequent systems.
  • ECB.ParallelWriter without sort key: non-deterministic command order, potential exception.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ijobentity-parallel-job is a skill published in the GitHub repository dyCuong03/unity-agent-team (7 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 32 tokens to every session and 611 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-02.
