wave4-native-disable-container-safety-restriction

wave4-native-disable-container-safety-restriction is a skill for Claude Code from dyCuong03/unity-agent-team. It costs 41 tokens per session (667 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A Unity job attribute that permits a parallel IJobChunk worker to use its own temporary native container, such as a scratch buffer or priority queue. IJobChunk runs work over chunks of entities and gives each execution its own job-struct copy.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for per-chunk temporary memory in an IJobChunk job. Do not use it for data shared between workers; use a parallel writer designed for shared access instead.
Why use it?
Unity's safety checks normally restrict native containers that might be shared between workers. This allows the pattern when each worker truly owns a separate copy, while avoiding it for shared data.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00041 $0.00667
Opus 5.5 $0.00016 $0.00267
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00008 $0.00133
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00067

Security

Grade A, and why

wave4-native-disable-container-safety-restriction scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

NativeDisableContainerSafetyRestriction — Per-Thread Scratch

Intent

Allow each parallel worker in IJobChunk to hold its own per-thread scratch NativeContainer by opting out of the safety system's shared-container restriction.

Use When

  • IJobChunk needs per-chunk working memory (scratch buffer, priority queue, temporary list).
  • Each chunk's Execute() call receives a copy of the job struct, guaranteeing no sharing between workers.

Avoid When

  • Container is truly shared across workers — use NativeParallelMultiHashMap.AsParallelWriter() instead.
  • Using IJobParallelFor — job struct copy semantics differ; IJobChunk is safer for this pattern.

Senior Pattern

[BurstCompile]
public struct NearestNeighborJob : IJobChunk
{
    // Per-thread ownership guaranteed by IJobChunk copy-per-chunk semantics.
    // Safety restriction disabled because each worker has its own copy.
    [NativeDisableContainerSafetyRestriction]
    public NativePriorityHeap<float> Scratch;

    [BurstCompile]
    public void Execute(in ArchetypeChunk chunk, int unfilteredChunkIndex,
        bool useEnableMask, in v128 chunkEnabledMask)
    {
        // Lazy init — Scratch is uninitialized on first Execute per chunk
        if (!Scratch.IsCreated)
            Scratch = new NativePriorityHeap<float>(16, Allocator.Temp);

        var enumerator = new ChunkEntityEnumerator(useEnableMask, chunkEnabledMask, chunk.Count);
        while (enumerator.NextEntityIndex(out var i))
        {
            Scratch.Push(/* distance for entity i */);
        }
        // Allocator.Temp — auto-disposed when job completes on this worker
    }
}

Anti-Patterns

  • Using [NativeDisableContainerSafetyRestriction] on a container that IS shared between workers — silent race, impossible to detect in Burst release builds.
  • Forgetting IsCreated check — Burst-compiled null-ref crashes worker thread.
  • Using Allocator.Persistent for scratch — leaks if job is abandoned; use Allocator.Temp.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
