video-to-ogv

video-to-ogv is a skill for Cursor from godot-fun/godot-framework. It costs 116 tokens per session (1,018 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A video conversion tool that creates OGV files, an older open container format using Theora video and Vorbis audio, for Godot projects.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to convert supported video files into OGV cutscenes or interface videos, while also producing a lossless intermediate when needed.
Why use it?
It provides a Godot-ready format and uses a lossless intermediate file before the final conversion to reduce extra quality loss.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00116 $0.01018
Opus 5 $0.00058 $0.00509
Sonnet 5 $0.00023 $0.00204
Haiku 4.5 $0.00012 $0.00102

Security

Grade A, and why

video-to-ogv scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Video to OGV

Convert a supported video file to OGV (Theora video + Vorbis audio in an Ogg container) via FFmpeg.

Lossy sources always go through a lossless intermediate first, then OGV ?to minimize generation loss.

  1. Export FFV1 + FLAC lossless MKV to video-to-ogv/lossless/
  2. Encode Theora q=10 + Vorbis q=10 OGV to video-to-ogv/

Only Theora encoding is lossy; the intermediate decode is bit-perfect.

Rules

When this skill applies, read and follow skill-dependency-manager ?run scripts as documented, install missing tools into .dependency/.

Quick Start

Convert a single video file:

.dependency/python/python .ai/video-to-ogv/convert.py --video path/to/video.mp4

Example:

assets/video/intro.mp4
  ?assets/video/video-to-ogv/lossless/intro.mkv (FFV1+FLAC intermediate)
  ?assets/video/video-to-ogv/intro.ogv (final Godot asset)

Format Defaults

Setting Default Notes
Pipeline Lossless ?OGV Skipped when source is already lossless
Intermediate FFV1 + FLAC (.mkv) Written to video-to-ogv/lossless/; large but bit-perfect decode
Final container OGG (.ogv) Godot VideoStreamTheora format
Final video Theora q=10 Single-pass from lossless intermediate
Final audio Vorbis q=10 Preserves source sample rate and channels
Resolution / frame rate Preserve source Never downscaled by default
Existing Theora+Vorbis OGV Stream copy Bit-perfect when no overrides

Disk Usage

Lossless intermediates are much larger than source MP4s (720p ?50?00 MB per 10 s clip). They are kept in video-to-ogv/lossless/ for re-encoding. Delete manually when done, or pass --clean-lossless to remove after each successful OGV export.

Common Flags

--video · -o / --output · --lossless-dir · --clean-lossless · --standardize

Custom output path:

.dependency/python/python .ai/video-to-ogv/convert.py --video path/to/video.mp4 --output path/to/out.ogv

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
