CS2_VibeSignatures: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/find-CNetworkMessages_GetIsForServer/SKILL.md

find-CNetworkMessages_GetIsForServer is a skill for Claude Code from HLND2T/CS2_VibeSignatures. It costs 92 tokens per session (1,257 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A reverse-engineering procedure for locating the GetIsForServer virtual function in Counter-Strike 2's network system library. It uses IDA Pro, a tool for inspecting compiled programs, and stored YAML information about functions and class tables.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for finding the function in networksystem.dll on Windows or libnetworksystem.so on Linux, using the SetIsForServer function, the CNetworkMessages virtual-function table, and IDA Pro MCP tools.
Why use it?
It avoids searching the library blindly by deriving the target function from a known neighboring function and checking the result.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00092 $0.01257
Opus 5 $0.00046 $0.00629
Sonnet 5 $0.00018 $0.00251
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00126

Security

Grade A, and why

find-CNetworkMessages_GetIsForServer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Find CNetworkMessages_GetIsForServer

Locate CNetworkMessages_GetIsForServer vfunc in CS2 networksystem.dll or libnetworksystem.so using IDA Pro MCP tools.

Method

1. Load CNetworkMessages_SetIsForServer from YAML

ALWAYS Use SKILL /get-func-from-yaml with func_name=CNetworkMessages_SetIsForServer.

If the skill returns an error, STOP and report to user.

Otherwise, extract:

  • func_va of CNetworkMessages_SetIsForServer
  • vfunc_index
  • vfunc_offset

2. Load CNetworkMessages VTable from YAML

ALWAYS Use SKILL /get-vtable-from-yaml with class_name=CNetworkMessages.

If the skill returns an error, STOP and report to user.

Otherwise, extract:

  • vtable_numvfunc
  • vtable_entries

3. Resolve the Adjacent Getter Slot

Compute the candidate slot for CNetworkMessages_GetIsForServer:

  • target_vfunc_index = CNetworkMessages_SetIsForServer.vfunc_index + 1
  • target_vfunc_offset = CNetworkMessages_SetIsForServer.vfunc_offset + 8

Validate that target_vfunc_index < vtable_numvfunc, then read:

  • candidate_func_addr = CNetworkMessages_vtable[target_vfunc_index]

This adjacent-slot rule is required because GetIsForServer immediately follows SetIsForServer in the CNetworkMessages vtable for networksystem.dll / libnetworksystem.so.

4. Decompile the Setter and Getter Candidate

Decompile both functions:

mcp__ida-pro-mcp__decompile addr="<CNetworkMessages_SetIsForServer_func_va>"
mcp__ida-pro-mcp__decompile addr="<candidate_func_addr>"

First, confirm CNetworkMessages_SetIsForServer is the simple byte setter pattern:

void __fastcall CNetworkMessages_SetIsForServer(__int64 a1, char a2)
{
  *(_BYTE *)(a1 + 1374) = a2;
}

Windows assembly example:

mov     [rcx+55Eh], dl
retn

Then confirm the adjacent vtable entry is the matching byte getter using the same member offset:

__int64 __fastcall sub_1800CB790(__int64 a1)
{
  return *(unsigned __int8 *)(a1 + 1374);
}

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

find-CNetworkMessages_GetIsForServer is a skill published in the GitHub repository HLND2T/CS2_VibeSignatures (65 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 92 tokens to every session and 1,257 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
