oh-my-patent

oh-my-patent is a skill for Codex from illusionaireal/oh-my-patent. It costs 65 tokens per session (2,355 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A patent-disclosure workflow that turns technical ideas and source material into reviewable invention documents. It also supports prior-art research, patent review, technical figures, and continuing an existing project.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to prepare patent disclosures, search and assess earlier patents or publications, review inventions, and create technical illustrations.
Why use it?
It helps separate known facts, observed implementation, proposed designs, open questions, and actual prior-art evidence before patent review.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00065 $0.02355
Opus 5.5 $0.00026 $0.00942
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00013 $0.00471
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00235

Security

Grade A, and why

oh-my-patent scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 195 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Archimedes — from Eureka to a patent disclosure

This is the optional Skill installation mode. The original Archimedes plugin retains its separate agents, skills and commands. Installing this package does not migrate plugin projects; use one selected runtime for each project.

Guide the user from technical facts to reviewable disclosure materials. Keep Archimedes' curiosity and rigor. Distinguish supplied facts, observed implementation, proposed design, unresolved questions and actual prior-art evidence throughout.

Start with the requested outcome

Follow active host/workspace instructions. This package does not require an AGENTS.md or any other generated global rule file. Treat its installation directory as read-only. Resolve references/scripts/assets from this SKILL.md; resolve all outputs from the selected project directory. Never assume the source repository accompanies installation.

Use the language requested by the user. Otherwise follow their conversation language and persist that selection for resume. Role sources are Chinese; output need not be. Keep one orchestration context; delegate bounded reviews only through actually exposed native tools. Do not launch another agent CLI from a shell to simulate delegation.

Identify the current intent:

Intent Action
New idea / existing materials Clarify missing technical facts; create project; enter workflow
Code repository analysis Read code without modifying it; cite files; separate facts and proposals
Search only Search plan/evidence report only; no fabricated later stages
Review a disclosure Review the supplied document; no fabricated earlier stages
Resume Inspect state/artifacts; use the sole matching project; ask if ambiguous
Explore another route Inspect saved node and use runtime path.branch
Draw/revise patent figures Read figure contract; update specification before output
Status Inspect only; report saved stage, gaps and actual capabilities

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
