voc-source-calls

voc-source-calls is a skill for Claude Code from aatirar/voc-claude-skills. It costs 84 tokens per session (860 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A connector that retrieves sales and customer calls, including transcripts, summaries, and participants, from a call recorder such as Gong or Fireflies. It saves the retrieved material as local Markdown files for other customer-feedback steps.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps fetch calls for a chosen time window or exact date range and skip calls already stored locally. A dry run lists what would be retrieved without writing files.
Why use it?
It removes the manual export of call data and reports missing setup information clearly when required connection settings are absent.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00084 $0.00860
Opus 5 $0.00042 $0.00430
Sonnet 5 $0.00017 $0.00172
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00086

Security

Grade A, and why

voc-source-calls scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 73 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

/voc-source-calls — Pull Call Transcripts

Wraps scripts/fetch-calls.js. The script does the network work; this skill handles argument resolution, verifies the result, and tells you plainly when the data came back incomplete.

Requires

What Value
Env vars CALL_PROVIDER, CALL_API_KEY, CALL_API_SECRET (provider-dependent), CALL_API_BASE
Optional INTERNAL_EMAIL_DOMAINS — comma-separated, used to label speakers internal vs external when your provider does not
Node 18+ (uses global fetch)
Cost Free. Call-recorder APIs are included in your existing subscription.

If .env is missing or a variable is unset, the script exits with the exact list of what is missing. Do not try to work around it by asking the user to paste a key into chat — tell them which variable to set in .env.

Run it

node scripts/fetch-calls.js --window 7d

Other forms:

Command Use
--window 30d Wider backfill
--from 2026-01-01 --to 2026-01-07 Exact range
--dry-run List what would be pulled, write nothing. Always do this first on a new setup.

Calls already on disk are skipped before any transcript request is spent on them, so re-running an overlapping window is cheap and safe.

After the run — verify, do not assume

Read the JSON index at outputs/calls/index-<to-date>.json and check three things before reporting success:

  1. totalFound is plausible. Zero on a week your team was selling means the date filter or the credential scope is wrong, not that nothing happened.
  2. hasSummary is not false for every row. If it is, the API credential is not requesting content fields. This is the single most common failure and it returns 200 OK the whole way.
  3. externalParticipants is not 0 everywhere. If it is, either the provider does not label affiliation, or INTERNAL_EMAIL_DOMAINS is unset. Quote attribution depends on this — say so rather than letting the next skill silently treat your own reps' words as customer voice.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
