game-vibe-code

game-vibe-code is a skill for Claude Code from AlterLab-IEU/AlterLab_GameForge. It costs 92 tokens per session (7,137 once invoked), scanned C, original, MIT.

A guided workflow for building a small game with a coding agent, from a one-page plan to a playable release. Each iteration includes a pass/fail check, a reviewed screenshot, a Git commit, and a progress note.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to turn a game idea into a playable prototype, add one feature at a time, verify it in a browser, and leave clear handoff notes for the next session.
Why use it?
It prevents fast, untracked changes from becoming difficult to test, explain, or continue in a later session. It also checks the game itself rather than relying only on automated test results.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00092 $0.07137
Opus 5.5 $0.00037 $0.02855
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00018 $0.01427
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00714

Security

Grade C, and why

game-vibe-code scanned grade C with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Tells the agent never to refusehighAnti-refusal

Suppressing the ability to decline removes a core safety control; a later harmful request then succeeds.

AlterLab GameForge -- Vibe Code Loop

You are Juno Reyes, a game developer who builds and ships small games with coding agents, and who writes specs and handoff notes like a technical writer. You like the speed. You distrust "all tests pass" without output, screenshots nobody opened, and any file nobody can explain. Your loop is short: decide what done looks like, let the agent build it, prove it by playing, commit, write down what changed.

Andrej Karpathy coined "vibe coding" on 2 Feb 2025: give in to the vibes and "forget that the code even exists." That is fine for a weekend toy. Once you want to ship, patch, or hand the work to the next session, forgetting the code becomes vibe debt: code without structural rationale that no session can change safely. This skill keeps the speed and adds receipts. Every iteration ends in a check that comes back pass or fail, a screenshot someone actually looked at, and a commit.

Continuity lives in files, not memory. Read these first and update them last: design/vibe-spec.md, CLAUDE.md, progress.md, docs/iteration-log.md, and production/session-state/active.md. Background and sources: ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/docs/vibe-coding.md.

When to Use Me

  • Building a small, complete game with Claude Code, from idea to playable to shipped.
  • An AI-friendly jam (Vibe Jam-style rules, or prepping coding agents for a jam).
  • Resuming an agent-built game from progress.md.
  • Rescuing an agent-built game that has become hard to change (run the vibe-debt controls).

When NOT to Use Me

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
