profiler-load-data

profiler-load-data is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from IvanMurzak/Unity-MCP. It costs 26 tokens per session (491 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A file reader for loading a JSON snapshot previously saved by the matching profiler-save-data tool. It returns the file contents as unchanged text.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to load a saved profiler snapshot for later parsing or inspection. The file must be readable UTF-8 text and no larger than 10 MB.
Why use it?
It provides a consistent way to retrieve saved profiler data without needing to write file-reading code. It rejects missing, empty, unreadable, or oversized files.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00026 $0.00491
Opus 5 $0.00013 $0.00246
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00098
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00049

Security

Grade A, and why

profiler-load-data scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Profiler / Load Data

Reads filePath as UTF-8 text and returns the file body unchanged. Caller is responsible for parsing.

Inputs

  • filePath (required) — path written by profiler-save-data.

Errors

  • Returns [Error] when filePath is empty, the file does not exist, exceeds the 10 MB size cap, or the read fails.

Behavior

Uses System.IO.File.ReadAllText (BCL) — no external Unity package is required. Files larger than 10 MB are rejected up-front to avoid OOM on a stray call.

How to Call

unity-mcp-cli run-tool profiler-load-data --input '{
  "filePath": "string_value"
}'

For complex input (multi-line strings, code), save the JSON to a file and use:

unity-mcp-cli run-tool profiler-load-data --input-file args.json

Or pipe via stdin (recommended):

unity-mcp-cli run-tool profiler-load-data --input-file - <<'EOF'
{"param": "value"}
EOF

Troubleshooting

If unity-mcp-cli is not found, either install it globally (npm install -g unity-mcp-cli) or use npx unity-mcp-cli instead. Read the /unity-initial-setup skill for detailed installation instructions.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
