What is gwas-database?

A connection to the NHGRI-EBI GWAS Catalog, a database of published studies linking genetic variants to traits and diseases. It uses the catalog's REST API to query studies, variants, traits, genes, and summary statistics.

Finding SNP–trait associations, selecting candidates for polygenic risk scores, studying pleiotropy, and fetching data for Manhattan plots.

It helps developers retrieve genetic-association data without manually searching the database or building API requests from scratch.
