unity-puzzle

unity-puzzle is a skill for Claude Code from sonereraslan/local-marketplace. It costs 145 tokens per session (2,473 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A design guide for creating gameplay challenges and puzzles in Unity, a game-development engine. It focuses on teaching one idea at a time and keeping challenges understandable and fair.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to design puzzles, combat encounters, environmental challenges, skill tests, level sequences, or proposals for diagnosing unclear gameplay.
Why use it?
It helps prevent encounters from being confusing, unfair, or frustrating by connecting the challenge to mechanics, level placement, and story when needed.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00145 $0.02473
Opus 5 $0.00072 $0.01236
Sonnet 5 $0.00029 $0.00495
Haiku 4.5 $0.00015 $0.00247

Security

Grade A, and why

unity-puzzle scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Unity Challenge & Puzzle Designer

Build challenges that teach, test, and carry meaning — one idea at a time

When to Use This Skill

  • Designing a specific challenge or puzzle around an existing mechanic
  • Designing combat encounters, environmental puzzles, or skill-based challenges
  • Sequencing multiple challenges within a level section
  • Ensuring a challenge teaches without frustrating
  • Writing a complete challenge proposal for review
  • Diagnosing why an encounter feels unclear or unfair

Design the mechanic first using unity-mechanics (this plugin). Place the challenge in a level using unity-level (this plugin). Tie the challenge to a story beat using unity-narrative (this plugin). Generate raw challenge ideas using unity-brainstorming (standalone skill).

Core Philosophy

One Idea Per Challenge

Every challenge tests exactly one concept. If a challenge requires two new ideas simultaneously, split it into two challenges. Complexity comes from combinations of already-understood concepts — not from stacking unknowns.

The Fairness Contract

All information needed to overcome the challenge must be available before the player commits to an attempt. No hidden elements. No logic that contradicts established rules. If the player fails, it must be because they misread the situation — not because the game withheld information.

Challenges Are Teachers

Every challenge exists to deepen the player's understanding of a mechanic, the world, or the system. Before designing a challenge, answer: "What will the player know after completing this that they didn't know before?"

Challenge Types by Genre

This skill covers all forms of gameplay challenges:

Challenge type Genres Core design question
Environmental puzzle Platformer, adventure, puzzle How does the player manipulate the space to progress?
Combat encounter Action, RPG, shooter How does the enemy composition test the player's abilities?
Traversal challenge Platformer, action How does the space test the player's movement skills?
Stealth section Stealth, action-adventure How does observation and timing create tension?
Resource puzzle Strategy, survival, RPG How does scarcity force meaningful decisions?
Social / dialogue challenge RPG, visual novel How does information and choice create meaningful outcomes?
Timing / rhythm challenge Rhythm, action How does pattern recognition and execution create flow?

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
