spritecook-animate-assets

spritecook-animate-assets is a skill for Claude Code from SpriteCook/claude-plugin. It costs 37 tokens per session (1,144 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of spritecook-animate-assets, MIT.

An animation guide for SpriteCook, a game-art service that can turn an existing asset into a short pixel-art or detailed animation. It covers source images, motion prompts, and the required animation tool.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to animate a SpriteCook asset, specify actions such as idle or attack, choose animation settings, and retrieve the generated frames.
Why use it?
It helps an agent describe motion clearly and follow the required steps for animating an existing SpriteCook asset.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00037 $0.01144
Opus 5 $0.00018 $0.00572
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00229
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00114

Security

Grade A, and why

spritecook-animate-assets scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

SpriteCook Animate Assets

Use this skill for animation workflows. Pair it with spritecook-workflow-essentials for credits, manifests, safe downloads, and shared defaults.

Requires: SpriteCook MCP server connected to your editor. Set up with npx spritecook-mcp setup or see spritecook.ai.

Tool

animate_game_art

Animate an existing SpriteCook asset into a short pixel-art or detailed animation. The tool returns a job immediately; follow its poll.tool and poll.arguments instead of holding the request open.

Parameter Type Default Description
asset_id string (required) - Existing SpriteCook asset ID to animate
prompt string (required) - Describe the exact motion over time. If auto_enhance_prompt=true, simple prompts like "Idle" or "Attack" are acceptable
auto_enhance_prompt bool true Inspect the source asset and expand short prompts into a fuller animation prompt
edge_margin int 6 Adds spacing on all sides before animation framing
pixel bool null Optional mode override. If omitted, SpriteCook infers the mode from the asset
output_frames int 8 Even frame count. Pixel supports 2-16, detailed supports 2-24
output_format string "webp" "webp", "gif", or "spritesheet"
negative_prompt string null Optional motion/content exclusions
matte_color string "#808080" Hex matte color used before processing transparency
removebg string "Basic" "None", "Basic", or "Pro"
colors int 24 Pixel palette size. Only valid when pixel=true

Workflow

  1. If the user already has a SpriteCook asset, pass its asset_id directly to animate_game_art.
  2. If the user only has a local image file path, use spritecook-upload-assets to call create_asset_upload, upload the bytes, then call finalize_asset_upload.
  3. If the user supplies a small data URL or raw base64 value, call import_asset first and use the returned asset_id.
  4. Use the returned asset_id in animate_game_art.
  5. Keep pixel omitted unless you need to force a mode.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
