houdini-simulation

houdini-simulation is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from IvanYangYangXi/artclaw_bridge. It costs 75 tokens per session (4,432 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A Houdini guide for building smoke, fire, rigid-body, fluid, and cloth simulations. It covers the usual node steps for setting up, solving, processing, and caching these effects.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create Pyro fire or smoke, RBD rigid-body destruction, FLIP fluid, and Vellum cloth or soft-body setups in Houdini through Python.
Why use it?
It gives a defined workflow for simulation work instead of requiring you to assemble every Houdini node chain from scratch. It also explains how to cache results and test at low resolution before doing expensive final runs.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00075 $0.04432
Opus 5 $0.00037 $0.02216
Sonnet 5 $0.00015 $0.00886
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00443

Security

Grade A, and why

houdini-simulation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Houdini

Pyro(烟火)、RBD(刚体)、FLIP(流体)、Vellum(柔体/布料)的标准节点搭建流程。

Source → Solver → Post-Process → Cache

1. Pyro

Source → Pyro Solver → Visualize → Cache

[Sphere/Source Geometry]
       ↓
[Pyro Source] —
       ↓
[Pyro Solver] —
       ↓
[Pyro Post Process] —

Python

import hou

with hou.undos.group("ArtClaw: Pyro 仿真搭建"):
    # 创建 geo 节点
    geo = hou.node("/obj").createNode("geo", "pyro_sim")
    for child in geo.children():
        child.destroy()

    # ① 源几何体 - 球体作为火源
    sphere = geo.createNode("sphere", "fire_source")
    sphere.parm("scale").set(0.5)

    # ② Pyro Source - 从几何体生成体积源
    pyro_source = geo.createNode("pyrosource", "pyro_source")
    pyro_source.setInput(0, sphere)
    # 设置为燃烧模式
    pyro_source.parm("mode").set(0)  # Burn

    # ③ Pyro Solver (SOP-level, Houdini 20+)
    pyro_solver = geo.createNode("pyrosolver", "pyro_solver")
    pyro_solver.setInput(0, pyro_source)  # Source 输入

    # 基本参数调整
    pyro_solver.parm("resscale").set(0.5)     # 分辨率缩放(调试用低值)
    pyro_solver.parm("timescale").set(1.0)    # 时间缩放

    # ④ Pyro Post Process - 着色和可视化
    pyro_post = geo.createNode("pyropostprocess", "pyro_post")
    pyro_post.setInput(0, pyro_solver)

    # ⑤ File Cache - 缓存结果

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

houdini-simulation is a skill published in the GitHub repository IvanYangYangXi/artclaw_bridge (35 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 75 tokens to every session and 4,432 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
