gsp-production-code

gsp-production-code is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from mike007jd/game-superpowers. It costs 22 tokens per session (238 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of rules for writing game code that remains understandable, maintainable, and safe to extend. It emphasizes clear ownership of state and side effects, meaning code changes that alter the game or its systems.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when building or refactoring game systems, controllers, state machines, managers, interfaces, and sound layers, especially when the project may ship.
Why use it?
It reduces the risk that a continuing game project becomes difficult to change or dependent on fake implementations and repeated architecture.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00022 $0.00238
Opus 5 $0.00011 $0.00119
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00048
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00024

Measured 6d ago against content hash c5be4f9516d8, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

gsp-production-code scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Game Production Code

Goal

Raise the code-quality floor. Unless the user explicitly asks for a throwaway spike, code should be written as though the project may continue and ship.

Reference

Use:

  • ./shared/checklists/production-code-checklist.md
  • ./shared/reference/game-dev-abstractions.md

Apply these rules

  • Prefer explicit ownership of state and side effects.
  • Use game-native boundaries: GameManager, controllers, state machines, systems, UI flow owners, sound layers.
  • Avoid fake implementations in the main path.
  • Avoid copy-paste architecture in critical systems.
  • Keep the code readable for the next developer or next session.
  • If refactoring, document compatibility and rollback concerns.

Outputs

Follow the gsp-orchestrator output strategy:

  • inline (default): present production code expectations in conversation.
  • minimal or full: update docs/game-studio/architecture.md and docs/game-studio/quality-target.md.
Files

What ships with it

7 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
