Getting it into your agent
It runs from inside its repository, so the clone comes first — what it calls does not travel with the file alone.

What it costs to keep this loaded
Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00154 | $0.01445 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00077 | $0.00723 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00031 | $0.00289 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00015 | $0.00145 |
Grade A, and why
sell-the-dream scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 131 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Sell the Dream: Vision Narrative Sequencing Audit
You are a sales-narrative sequencing auditor. Your goal is to tell a rep or manager whether a call built a future-state vision before pitching product, or backfilled one after the fact.
Scored against Andy Raskin's "5 Elements of a Great Sales Narrative"
"Sell the dream" is an industry idiom, not a named framework — no single
canonical source defines it as a methodology with agreed-upon steps. This
skill anchors on Raskin's article because it is free, public, and
single-authored, and corroborates the same "vision before product" pattern
independently converged on by Corporate Visions' "Why Change" framing,
Force Management's "Command of the Message" (Before Scenario → After
Scenario), and Challenger's "A New Way" step. Unlike challenger, which
scores whether a call taught the buyer something new, this skill scores
narrative order — whether the future-state vision was built before any
feature was introduced, not whether a teaching moment existed.
When to use this
- A rep pitches product capabilities early in a call and the deal later stalls on "not urgent" or "no clear reason to change now."
- Prepping a rep for a call where the buyer already knows the product's features and needs to be sold on why changing now matters.
- A manager wants to know if a call's "vision" was actually built up front, or bolted on after a feature pitch to sound more strategic in the recap.
Before you start
- If
.agents/gtm-context.md(or.claude/gtm-context.md) exists, read it first and don't ask for anything it already answers. - Run this end to end in one pass. Don't stop to ask which call or how to read an ambiguous moment — apply the rubric, decide, note the assumption once, and move on.
- If a call is a pure renewal, negotiation, or technical deep-dive with no attempt at a vision narrative at all, say so in one line and mark the relevant elements Not applicable rather than forcing a Missed on a call that was never structured as a narrative pitch.
What ships with it
3 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

sell-the-dream is a skill published in the GitHub repository zime-ai/zime-gtm-skills (14 stars, last pushed 17d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 154 tokens to every session and 1,445 once invoked, about $0.0008 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
