blender-light-rig

blender-light-rig is a skill for Claude Code from dcc-mcp/dcc-mcp-blender. It costs 27 tokens per session (435 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A Blender lighting toolkit for reusable light rigs, HDRI worlds, and animated lighting setups. HDRI means a 360-degree image used to light and surround a 3D scene.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create grouped lights, reusable three-point lighting rigs, HDRI worlds, rotating-environment look development, and coordinated render-view settings.
Why use it?
It helps keep scene lighting consistent and makes it easier to test different lighting angles without rebuilding the setup.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00027 $0.00435
Opus 5 $0.00014 $0.00217
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00087
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00044

Security

Grade A, and why

blender-light-rig scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 10 executable files (scripts/aim_light_at_object.py, scripts/animate_hdri_rotation.py, scripts/create_area_softbox.py, …), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

blender-light-rig

Rig-oriented lighting helpers for repeatable Blender look-development setups.

Use this skill when a scene needs grouped lights, reusable three-point rigs, HDRI/world setup, fixed-camera rotating-environment LookDev, light aiming, or render view-transform coordination. Create the world with create_hdri_world, then use animate_hdri_rotation for a repeatable lighting sweep. Single light creation and basic property edits remain in blender-lighting.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
