gsp-project-state-assessment

gsp-project-state-assessment is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from mike007jd/game-superpowers. It costs 30 tokens per session (324 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A project-checking step that classifies a game repository as new, in development, released, or operating with live users. A repository is the project folder containing its code and related files.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it before major game work to inspect code, deployment settings, release records, analytics, saved data, and other signs of production use.
Why use it?
It prevents choosing an unsuitable scope or architecture without knowing how mature the project is and what release risks it carries.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00030 $0.00324
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00162
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00065
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00032

Security

Grade A, and why

gsp-project-state-assessment scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Game Project State Assessment

Goal

Determine what kind of project this is before choosing scope, architecture, or task sizing.

Outputs

Follow the gsp-orchestrator output strategy:

  • inline (default): present project state assessment in conversation.
  • minimal or full: write docs/game-studio/project-state.md using ./shared/templates/project-state-assessment.md.

Use:

  • ./schemas/project-state.schema.json

What to inspect

Look for evidence such as:

  • existing source tree size and maturity
  • deployment configs
  • CI / CD pipelines
  • release notes / changelogs
  • analytics / telemetry
  • app store or distribution metadata
  • save data, migrations, versioning, or liveops systems
  • production environment files or operational runbooks
  • existing user-facing docs or screenshots

Classification rules

  • greenfield: empty repo, tiny scaffold, or explicit from-scratch instruction
  • existing prototype / prelaunch: meaningful code exists, but little evidence of live-product operational risk
  • shipped product: release / deployment / store / production signals exist
  • live-risky: shipped product plus clear signals of live users, data compatibility, or operational constraints

Unknowns

If critical status cannot be inferred, ask only a few decisive questions. Do not ask long interviews.

Files

What ships with it

7 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
