hayba-localization-layout-stress

hayba-localization-layout-stress is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from zajalist/hayba. It costs 28 tokens per session (377 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for checking that an Unreal Engine widget remains usable with translated text and different screen sizes. It measures short, long, and multiline strings but does not translate text or create localization tables.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps test named screens across locales, fonts, viewport sizes, and input methods; adjust confirmed text or layout settings; render comparisons; and verify the saved widget or a running PIE screen.
Why use it?
It finds clipping, unsafe margins, poor contrast, and lost focus or controls before release. This matters because translation can make text much longer than the original.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00028 $0.00377
Opus 5.5 $0.00011 $0.00151
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00075
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00038

Security

Grade A, and why

hayba-localization-layout-stress scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 13d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Stress a localized screen layout

When to use

Use for a named screen with real translated strings or a clearly labeled expansion sample. Record target locales, font assets and glyph needs, viewport sizes, and input methods. This is a layout verification workflow; it does not translate copy or author localization tables.

Tool routing

  • Inspect the widget with ui_get_widget_info and ui_query. Feed representative short, long, and multiline strings to ui_measure_text. Use ui_layout_snapshot and ui_render_widget_to_png at each target size. If geometry is unresolved, compile with ui_compile_widget before treating any layout measurement as valid.
  • Run ui_validate per platform and strictness. Follow each overflow, safe-area, contrast, or focus finding to the named widget. Adjust only the confirmed text style or slot via ui_set_text_style and ui_set_slot_layout, then remeasure and rerender. Save through ui_save_widget after compilation and read back the saved state.
  • For text entered at runtime, check editor_get_state, start editor_start_pie, inspect editor_pie_widget_tree, and capture editor_pie_screenshot. Stop with editor_stop_pie after a session this workflow started. If the project does not expose locale switching to Hayba, change locale through its normal Unreal or game setting and record that manual step.

Evidence

Report locale or expansion sample, string lengths, viewport sizes, measured versus available width, rendered captures, validator findings and skipped rules, and actual runtime text. A pseudolocalized fit does not prove translation accuracy, glyph coverage, line-break quality, or right-to-left behavior.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
